i am SO lucky

...or we've all been given wings

This morning at 8:57am our email ticketing software developed a bug.

It was annoying.

But I didn't submit a support ticket. Instead, by 1:37pm I'd made an app that does most of what I need.

To be fair, 3 hrs 40 mins is way longer than submitting a ticket. But when was the last time you had a software company squash a bug in under 4 hours?

Also I didn't spend my entire morning making the app. As I've developed the mAI system it's way quicker than when I made my first personal software. All told, my guess is it took 30 minutes of my personal focused attention (that's being very generous.)

This morning, as well as this email app I've:

1. Coached 2 clients 2. Had a team meeting 3. Designed some fancy animations on a sales page 4. Had a 30 minute coffee with Sally 5. Written 1 email list email, edited another and this Substack post (I don't use AI for writing) 6. Had lunch with the fam

(Even managed to sneak in wrapping Mother's Day pressies with the boys!)

I'm not a genius or an A-type. Far from it.

(In November you'd have been lucky to get 1 email out of me.)

It's just time is different now. Progress is different now.

The world is different, more...possible.

Because what I've done this morning wouldn't just have taken 10x longer before - I simply didn't have the capabilities.

This morning mAI (the system I've built to use Claude Code and Codex) used:

1. Automation - removing the Digital Manual Labour - the grind you can't stand. 2. Augmentation - doing more of what you love - and doing it better. 3. Acquisition - doing what you could not do before.

And this is real for me, you and anyone who wants to.

Of course, my email ticketing thing is a CRAP APP.

It's barely software; it's as janky as it gets.

But it works. It does what I need it to do now...

And I'll build on it, improve it and shape it to my exact needs. I can add it to all my other apps I've built to create my ultimate business software suite - all in one place.

(Oh and I can add another $30/mo to the $754 I've forever saved in monthly software subs!)

But, most important, 4 hours later...

There is no more bug!

(Or at least - not THAT bug! 🤓)
